Thankful For You

Hi friends! Welcome to November. Seriously, how did that happen? The year is flying by!

Today I'm popping in with a big 11th birthday wish for Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. Hooray! This sweet faith based company started just a few months after Verve and it has been such a blessing watching it grow and getting to know the owner, Korin Sutherland over the years. And today I'm excited to announce that I'm joining the Sweet 'n Sassy Card Creations team! Their November release is live in the shop today with two adorable throwback sets.  I had to choose Cocoa's Cups to highlight, because.... COFFEE! {grin}

I mean, really. Isn't that image cute? The set is filled with some fabulous all-occasion sentiments and four sweet little coffee (or tea or cocoa) loving images.

I paper pieced the cup with some beloved Amber Moon papers and colored the rest with Copic markers and shaded with distress inks. The background is collaged together with tons of scraps from the collection that I couldn't bear to throw away.

For embellishment I loaded the card up with all sorts of shabby autumn goodies... flowers from the Amber Moon collection, paper leaves from Hobby Lobby, chipboard leaves and some metal leaf charms.  The sentiment tag is a bit of ephemera from the collection and I added a paper bow made with the papers to top the tag.  I finished off with a bit of seam binding ribbon, some washi and a bit of sparkle.
