Next I stamped the beautiful Graphic Snowflake Bold Prints background in Versamark ink over all of it for a soft and subtle watermark effect. I finished that part off with a bit of soft sand and cup of joe ink from the Kelly's Coffee & Donuts Ink Cubes pack for a little depth.
The papers are from the Carta Bella Christmas collection. I love the snowy woodgrain background and thought it would make the perfect backdrop for this ornament. I gathered a few scraps from the same paper line, then sponged around the edges for some shading and layered together. Once I had the placement where I wanted, I pierced a hole in the woodgrain panel to poke the cord through and hang the ornament. I finished it off with a sweet little corded bow.
Thank so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a fabulously creative day!

I am fairly new to papercrafting/cardmaking and just found you thru the Hero Arts hop and I'm so glad I did. I love the style of your cards so much. This card and the card and ornament from the hop are fabulous. I can't wait to try some of your techniques. You definitely have a new follower and I will be going back through your blog and Instagram as well as checking in often for inspiration. Thank you for sharing your talent. (mardy14@bellsouth.net)
Thanks so much for the sweet comment Mindy! Have fun trying out this style and enjoy the process! <3
Julee, I absolutely love the richness & depth of the colour you used on the ornament. I also think the snowy planked background paper sets it off perfectly. I can hardly wait to receive my first ever kit.
