Isn't this kitty adorable. I just smile each time I see it. I decided to watercolor her in pink/purple hues since those are the birthday girl's favorite colors. I stamped the Meow stamp several times with Intense Black ink, so I could piece each piece on a different layer. I colored with Jane Davenport INKredible inks and did some shadowing with a grey Arteza real brush pen.
She's pieced onto a circle die cut that I matted with a black circle and a chipboard circle to give it some support, then adhered a bit of lace around the edges for a super frilly look. I added black nuvo drops all round the black circle and then highlighted the kitty with white blizzard nuvo glitter drops for all the sparkle.
The paper is from the Cute Girl collection, and I thought it was the perfect match for this image. I stamped the Happy Birthday Message stamp on a Tim Holtz tag die cut and fussy cut a black mat for it. The teeny scallop border is a retired die from Verve (sigh). More sparkle and some black licorice divine twine finish things off.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a spectacular start to your week. Just one more week before the boys go back to school, so we'll be trying to live it up large this week!
