Freedom is a State of Mind

Hi friends! I'm back with a fun card I made for one of the Dare to Get Dirty challenges over on Splitcoaststampers.

For the background, I used Shimmerz paints and my handy dandy Crystal Clear Lacquer Pen to accent the different areas, then sprinkled on a little Midnight Copper Obsidian embossing powder and heat embossed.

The butterfly is from the beautiful Don't Forget to Fly cling stamp set from Finnabair.  I watercolored with Shimmerz, then embossed with the same embossing powder and heat embossed. The butterfly is fussy cut and I accented its body with a few flatback pearls.

The sentiment is from the same set, and cut into three different strips, watercolored with the same shades of Shimmerz paints and then mounted on a larger piece of white cardstock and outlined with a black pen.

The sentiment, freedom is a state of mind spoke to my soul as I was stamping.  The sentiment reminded me that it really is all about your state of mind. You can choose to soar and find freedom in the opportunities you have or else focus on the things that keep you from flying. I'm going to be looking for opportunities to soar today.  :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a fabulously free day.

That shimmery stained glass look creates a wonderful background for that gorgeous background. Love that sentiment, too!
