A Happy Card

I had such a great time stamping at Lila's yesterday. She's got some of the coolest stamps. I stamped and colored a whole lot of images, but still need to turn them into projects. My studio is still in the exact same half-finished state it was yesterday, but hopefully today I will find the time to finish it up and take the after photos.

While I was cleaning this weekend, I ran across this card I had made a while back and don't think I've shared with you. The paper is from the Making Memories Funky Vintage Lizzie line. The layout is based on a PageMaps sketch from March 2007.

I stamped the Penny Black Modesty stamp in Regal Rose on Pearlized White paper and then did a wash around it with a Barely Banana reinker and my Aquapainter. Next I overstamped the Happy sentiment (from a K & Company stamp set I got a Target) in Chocolate Chip and then traced the letters with a Clear Glaze pen. I matted this on Cool Caribbean and then stamped photo corners from Green Grass Stamps Card Greetings I in Regal Rose on Regal Rose paper. I then punched holes in the corner pieces and glued some Chocolate Chip cardstock behind it to mimic the American Crafts ribbon. Next I cut out the photo corners and glued to the image panel. I took 4 pieces of patterned paper and matted them on Chocolate Chip cardstock and covered the seams with ribbon and matted on a Cool Caribbean card 6 x 6 card base. I finished off the card with Prima Hydrangeas, a rhinestone brad and Stickles on all the brown dots on the ribbon and photo corners.
