A Great Dad

Hi friends! I'm back with another card for the Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. Have you been hopping around? There are so many fabulous caffeinated creations to spy!  I went masculine with my card today, knowing that the next few weeks are going to fly by and I'll be thanking myself later when I already have some Father's Day cards done. {grin}

I used the new limited edition Just Like You clear stamp set, stamping the behind every good kid is a great dad sentiment on a Rounded Rectangle die cut and then stamping the coffee cup and silhouette image on smooth bristol and coloring with zig clean color real brush markers and a wink of stella glitter pen. I fussy cut this image and then stamped the happy father's day sentiment and cut it in strips to add more interest.

I picked up a pack of border dies at Tuesday Morning the other day and thought this one made a good masculine embellishment, cutting it from the same Authentique Loyal paper collection I used for the other panels, then attaching it with some mini brads.

The background paper I chose needed a little texture, so I subtly stamped the best dad ever sentiment all over the background in antique linen. Then I went back and added some of the fabulous Texture Tiles from Sweet N Sassy Stamps with gathered twigs to give even more texture to everything. I like the rugged look.

I finished off with crumb cake mats and card base.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have an amazing start to your week!

Wonderful card for the Hop. I love the masculine feel to it and that deer mug is awesome.

This is FABULOUS, Julee. I always struggle with masculine cards, but this is definitely a must-make for me. I especially love the "squiggly" die. I'd love to know where you got that. Is it Verve? I "need" to shop today.

Hi Karen! It’s the Embellish It die set by Richard Garay for Spellbinders. Not sure if it’s current or not. Found mine at Tuesday Morning.
