Thankful for Time Out

Hi friends! Time Out Challenges is celebrating their 100th challenge this week. Wow! Having been behind the scenes of challenges for over 10 years, I know what a work of heart it is to keep these challenges running. Big thanks for all the inspiration The Challenge has brought over the past few years.  I'm so honored to have been asked to guest design for this milestone. Plus there's a prize this week sponsored by Verve Stamps, so head on over to the official challenge post to read all the details.

The challenge this go round is "thankful" and I pulled out a trusty old favorite stamp set to create this shabby little card. I've got a lot to be thankful for, and always need a supply of thank you cards.

In December, my husband and I celebrated our 20th anniversary, and because hubby knows me so well, in lieu of flowers he treated me to a shopping spree at a local craft store! One of my treasures from that shopping trip was the Welcome Home collection of paper by Carta Bella. I loved the colors and wood grains, so started with those, then selected a texty print that I could stamp some sunny yellow flowers on.  The blooms are from the Dream Big stamp set and cut with the coordinating Scalloped Flowers Die Set. I also stamped the leaves on the same paper and cut with the coordinating Dreamy Leaves Die Set, layering them all together and accenting with pearls to make my focal point.

Next I stamped the sentiment in navy ink onto a yellow print, then cut with a circle die and matted with a navy scalloped circle die cut.  I shabbied up the edges of my background panels, then wrapped a bit of lace across the center as a backdrop for the sentiment and flower.  I finished off with a linen thread bow and another pearl on the sentiment circle.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you're having a wonderful start to the year!
