Love is Kind Take One

Hi friends! Today I'm sharing one of two cards I made for this week's Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge. I was super excited that Lindy's Stamp Gang came out with a new collection of Magical Shakers, so had to give them a go during my weekend stamp time.

I started with a few of the solid heart stamps from Love Notes, stamping randomly with Versamark on watercolor paper and embossing with clear embossing powder. Next I spritzed with water, then tapped on Alpine Ice Rose and Autumn Maple Crimson Magicals and spritzed again with water.  I dried this, and then took another pass with sprinkles and spritzing.  Finished the background off with some splatters with the two colors and also with white india ink.

Next I stamped some hearts in cotton candy on a circle die cut, then stamped the Love sentiment and embossed with clear embossing powder.  For the banner, I masked off parts of the sentiment to make it one long sentiment, stamped in two colors of ink and then embossed with clear.

The little heart of roses accent started with 3 mini white roses.  I dyed them with the alpine ice rose and autumn maple crimson magicals, then dry brushed a bit of gesso on them.  Once they were dry, I arranged them in a heart formation and glued them together.  The card is finished with some tattered edges and black mats.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Check back tomorrow for another take on this sketch and stamp set.
