Beyond Measure Day 2 Hop

Hi friends! Welcome to day 2 of our November Release Spotlight Hops! Over the next couple of days the Divas and our November Guests will be sharing their first looks at two brand new sets and coordinating die sets that are releasing this Friday, November 4. Each day we're running a comment prize drawing to win the new products, so be sure to give a little shout out for each of the projects as you hop about. I'm the first stop along today's hop, so let's get to hopping.

Today's featured set is Beyond Measure, a faith inspired Christmas set perfect for putting the focus on the true meaning of Christmas.  The set also coordinates with the new Christmas Spirit Die Set.

From the first moment I put my hands on this set, I knew I wanted to make a card with the holy family silhouette front and center with just a watercolor wash. So the other day when Trevor was home sick and begging me to paint, he painted hands connected with rainbows and I made this quick, fun little card with Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors. I embossed the image in white on watercolor paper, then did the watercolor wash, hand tearing the edges.  I splattered a bit of watered down gesso for a snowy look, then embossed the sentiment in white.  When everything was dry, I added a bit of shadow around the image and text with a Copic marker to make things stand out.  I finished with a jingle bell/ribbon embellishment and some super distressed edges to add lots of texture.

Okay, that's all from me today.  Thanks so much for hopping by! I hope you have a fabulous time along the hop!

Next up on the hop is Lee Ann Barrett.
