Hi friends! It's that time again... time for another week of fabulous coffee, tea and cocoa creations courtesy of the Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. Verve is a Super Sponsor again and there are loads of FABULOUS prizes for those who create and link up some fall hot beverage themed goodness over the next week. There's also a blog candy giveaway (and another card I made with this set) up on the Verve Blog today where you can win some NEW Verve!
My card for today is a sneaky peek at a set that releases next Saturday, October 1. The set is called Everything Nice and has a sweet little pumpkin spice theme. Now, truth be told, I don't care for pumpkin spice lattes. Not one little bit. If it's not chocolate, caramel or peppermint it doesn't belong in my coffee, but I'm happy to let you have it in yours with no judgment whatsoever. :) I do love me some pumpkins, though, especially pumpkin spice candles... and fall.... ooooooh I LOVEEEEEE fall!
So this card is a celebration of fall... the warm tones, the warm cuppa and a touch of gold. I started by stamping the cup in early espresso on designer paper, then embossing one of the bitty pumpkins from the set in gold and coloring with markers. The cup is hand cut, since the coordinating die hadn't arrived when I was creating. The whip cream is highlighted with some Nuvo crystal drops, making it look so rich and creamy in real life!
The pumpkin spice and everything nice sentiment is embossed in gold onto a stitched circle die cut and then matted with a gold pinking circle. Some pretty autumn papers with early espresso (my favorite neutral) mats are the perfect backdrop and I embellished with a doily, some gold ribbon and a few golden pearls.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a marvelous time along the hop!
