Verve's April 2016 Diva Inspirations Challenge | www.vervestamps.blogspot.com
A little tropical flair is in the air for inspiration this month. Bright pinks, aquas, golden tones and a touch of white promise easy breezy days ahead. There's no script for this inspiration... go floral, keep it modern, follow our color pattern or forge your own path, just show us your tropical chic inspired creations.

I just loved that golden sun mirror in the inspiration photo (for a closer look at the inspiration photo, head on over to the Verve blog), and knew just the kind of background I wanted for my card. So I pulled out some distress inks and stencils to create a chevron background in worn lipstick, squeezed lemonade and warm mustard. Next I used the sun ray stencil to add some warm mustard rays and then keeping the stencil in place rubbed with collage glue.  I peeled up the stencil and placed some gold foil down to give some golden accents to the rays.  I created the same type of background for my sentiment tag using the Flourished Tag for the shape and then using the gold foil with the chevron stencil and embossing the sentiment from Simply Amazing in gold.

The flowers from Simply Amazing are clear embossed on watercolor cardstock and then sponged with tumbled glass and broken china distress inks.  I cut them with the coordinating Simply Daisies Die Set. and layered them onto the card.  I added a partial gold doily to the side, then some white string and a few Sprightly Sprigs leaves cut from the rest of the doily.
