Tea Anyone

Hi friends!  I'm back again today with another card for the Summer Coffee Lover's Blog Hop.  Many of you already know I really love coffee, but I also love me a cup of tea!  So I had to represent for the tea lovers. :)

This one is another sneak of the new Get Together set (releasing 6/19) and also uses this week's Mojo 400 sketch. You have until Sunday night to link up your Mojo 400 creations for a chance to win some Verve and possibly a spot on the Mojo Makers design team.  Head on over to Mojo Monday for all the deets.

I went all mixed-media again, collaging some Tim Holtz tisue paper onto cream cardstock, then attacking (grin) it with a variety of Dylusions sprays and paints, as well as some distress inks. Also I embossed it with a butterfly embossing folder at some point along the way, which makes for some great texture and interesting paint drips.  I stamped the Let's get together for a cup of sentiment in archival black, then added some burlap stickers from my stash for the TEA.  I hit them with a variety of paints and inks as well, then decided to accent them with some black enamel accents.

The circle portion of the sketch is done by freehanding a circle and doodling a scallop border.  Then I stamped and sponged the big teacup and added some butterflies, popping it up for a little dimension.  I finished with a black mat and lots of distressed edges.

I hope you'll get a chance to link up some coffee, tea or cocoa loving goodness over the next week. Verve is a Super Sponsor, along with a whole boatload of other fabulous companies.  Our prize includes the Get Together set I've shown today.  Play along and link up your cards for a chance to win it before you can buy it!  :)
