This week's sketch is based on this card I made for Verve's latest release. I used the Pinecone Christmas set and coordinating Poinsettia Pinecones Die Set. I started by making the background paper with the branch and pinecones stamped in brown sugar on kraft and the pine needles stamped in mossy meadow. Next I took some white cardstock that had been scraped with gesso and stamped the outline poinsettia in black, then the solid poinsettia in cherry cobbler and the solid leaves in pear pizzazz. I really like the texture the gesso gave to the stamping. Each of the three poinsettias are cut with the coordinating die from the Poinsettia Pinecones Die Set.
The sentiment is embossed in white onto a black tag made using the Die Sidekicks set and coordinating Sweet Scallop Tag Die. I added a cherry cobbler bow to the tag, matted the panels with black and finished off with a little stickles on the center of the poinsettias.
Verve is having a little Cyber Monday sale. We've marked a list of 50 products at 50% off today only (Monday, Dec. 1). Click here to see the deals! I also extended our Thanksgiving sale an extra day, so everything else in the store is 20% off. Happy shopping!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a fabulous start to your December and would love to see your take on the sketch if you get a little creative time!
