Sufficient Grace

Hi friends!  There's a brand new Verve release on the horizon, so my blog will be hopping all week long! Today, I'm sharing a sneak peek at the newest addition to our Plain Jane line, as well as this week's Mojo Monday sketch.  It's contest week at Mojo Monday, so that means there are prizes up for grabs! Come play along... you can enter as many times as you like and the more entries we have, the more Verve we give away!

I loved the teal + aqua + green colors I chose for this week's Viva la Verve sketch + color challenge, so I just continued on with the same palette for this card. It's a pretty straight forward sketch that makes it easy to put the focus on a larger sentiment or image.  Here I embossed the 2 Corinthians 12:9 verse in Early Espresso directly onto the patterned paper.  I then cut my layers, sponging every little piece with a bit of walnut stain distress ink.  The mats and base are done in crumb cake and I used a fun SU! border porch for the scallop border.  Liked it so much, I added one to my square panel as well.  Found a bitty rose from my stash that was the perfect color and added a few Sprightly Sprigs cut from lucky limeade.  I finished off with some liquid pearls to accent in between the scallops.

Well, that's all for today!  I hope you have a wonderfully fantastic week and come on back tomorrow for the first of our four days of new release Spotlight Hops!  Hooray for new Verve!

This is so pretty Julee. That verse was really special to me this past week. We spent many hours at the Hospice InPatient facility while my Mom journeyed to Heaven, and that verse was my encouragement to keep going physically. She graduated to glory on Monday and I got to be there at the end. It was like seeing a glimpse of Heaven. It's interesting that you posted this on Monday... :) Isn't God good?

Great addition of the scallop edge to the sentiment box! I like how it ties everything together. Beautiful combination of PPs. :)
