Hi friends! It's Monday and time for another Mojo Monday sketch. This week's sketch is designed by Mary Fish and it's definitely a keeper! Verve has a release this Friday, so I *might* have snuck a couple super sneaky peeks into my sample card today. {grin}
When I saw the sketch, I had this vision of a super clean and simple white on white card with just a silver embossed sentiment and a dry embossed backdrop. But then I shied away from all that white space. It was scary! {grin} So I pulled out the Text Objects set and stamped the background across a white piece in Versamark and embossed with silver. That was a bit too much and stole the focus from the focal sentiment, so I decided to dry emboss the panel with the Square Lattice embossing folder and then lightly added some white gesso in areas and did a little distressing to tame things down.
The sentiment is a brand new plain jane that will release from Verve this Friday aptly called Happy Anniversary. It's embossed in silver. I added the smaller stitched heart from Text Objects to the other two circles and embossed them in silver as well. I then painted them with a faber-castell big brush pen and an aquapainter and then covered with Glossy Accents for an epoxy look. The heart border is part of the soon to be released Scalloped Trim Trio Die Set and it's cut from some shiny silver cardstock. The little silver hearts in each circle are the remnants from when you cut the border. I finished with a bit of hemptique silver crafter's cord, matted on some shiny silver and a 4.25 x 5.5" card base.
Okay, I've got lots to do this week to prepare for the release. The twins are feeling *so* much better, so hopefully I'll be able to be super productive this week. Have a great start to your week. I'll see you back here tomorrow for the first official sneak peek of this Friday's release! Have a fantastic day and be sure to check out what the other Mojo Makers did with this sketch on the Mojo Monday blog!
