Happiness

Hi friends! Happy Tuesday.  It's Day 2 of our Release Challenges over in the Verve forum and Maureen and Andrea are challenging us to make an anniversary card with wood or silver elements.  I knew I wanted to go a bit more masculine than the traditional anniversary card, so I picked a color palette of green, black and kraft.

This sentiment sums up how I feel about my DH and it's a sneak peek of the new Treasured Words set.  I've cut it out with the Rounded Rectangle Die and layered it onto the Rounded Scallop Frame Die, stamped with the coordinating stamp from Making a Statement.  I gave the background of the card a wood effect by randomly stamping the new Thatched Banner Plain Jane in Crumb Cake all over the Kraft cardstock.  For embellishments I chose some silver jumbo eyelets that have been collecting dust in the closet, some black twill and a Tim Holtz metal embellishment I picked up super cheap on a recent trip to Tuesday Morning.

That's all for today!  Come on back tomorrow to see another sneak peek and the challenge I'm hosting with Laurie!  Have a great day!

Enabler's List:
Stamps: Making a Statement, sneak peek of Treasured Words and Thatched Banner Plain Jane (Verve Stamps)
Paper: Kraft, Black, Wild Wasabi (SU!), Digi graph paper
Ink: Crumb Cake, Wild Wasabi (SU!), Black
Accessories: Rounded Rectangle Die, Rounded Scallop Frame Die (A Cut Above by VERVE), Jumbo eyelets (SU!), black twill, black twine, metal charm (Tim Holtz), paper distresser

Love the metal you used on this card! The big eyelets make it masculine and the heart is just gorgeous. The BG you created on the kraft is great! Wonderful card as always :) Still vibrating with excitement over all we get to see on the 24th!
