I Thought of You

Hi Friends! Happy Thursday! Today I'm popping in with another card I made a while back, but never shared. This one I made for a guest designer spot I was doing, but at the time I thought it wasn't "fancy" enough, so made a different card for the post and this card got forgotten.

The leafy background image is from New Mercies (30% during this week's sale) is stamped in Pear Pizzazz, and then I over-stamped the two sizes of flowers from the same set, then stamped the flowers again onto designer paper and pieced them over the stamped stems.  The sentiment is from Small Phrases (also 30% off) and is stamped onto newsprint paper, then punched out with a circle punch and layered onto a petite scallop circle.  I used a little border punch along the bottom panel, and highlighted with liquid pearls.  A little distressing, a black bow and some rhinestones from Pizzazz Aplenty finished it off.

Thanks for all your kind comments throughout the year and during my blogging break.  Mark and I are enjoying putting everything in its place in our new home.  So far our holiday break has been exhausting and very emotional.  I'm having a tough time processing all the change that's coming our way in 2012 and am so very sad to see this childless chapter in my life coming to an end.  And so very guilty to have these feelings when so many friends and family are struggling so hard to have a baby.  I'm sure the pregnancy hormones are magnifying this whirlwind of emotions, but please say a little prayer of peace and comfort for me if you think about it.

Enabler's List:
Stamps: New Mercies, Small Phrases (Verve Stamps)
Paper: designer paper (SU!), Black, Cream
Ink: Pear Pizzazz, Black, Antique Linen
Accessories:  border & circle punch, triple punch pack (SU!), ribbon (May Arts), Petite Scallop Circles Nestabilities (Spellbinders), rhinestones (Pizzazz Aplenty), distressing tool

what a lovely card with the sweet details you always add :) I can remember what I thinking too so many years ago with my pregnancy...and even the ride back home after having him...life will be different, but in a wonderful, crazy kind of way. I think what you are feeling is very normal...first time parent jitters too. I have no doubt these babies have picked the perfect parents for them :) Out of all my life experiences, having my son has been my greatest joy. Sending you peaceful prayers :) hugs!

Love the card. The lavender is gorgeous with the black and touch of green.

HUGE ((hug)) to you, Julee. I need your new addy so I can send you a card. Can you e-mail it to me. Was hoping to do a Christmas card but life won and some happy mail would be great to be able to send you.

There never seems to be a "right" time to start a family. One can get so overwhelmed by all the changes, but from a person who hates change, it was one of the best changes that ever occurred in my life. I can't imagine life without my kids and am already sad at the thought that they could be moved out in under ten years time. One of my greatest fears was being old and alone in the world. Not that having kids guarantees that, but the chances are a lot higher LOL!

Verve will survive and thrive post kids - we are all hopelessly addicted and love it too much!!! Your Verve dream will NOT die, don't worry!! Just a few minor adjustments and you can carry on. Taylor (Taylored Expressions) survived her baby and carried on - if it makes you feel better you may want to give her a shout for a little encouragement and perspective...

All your recent changes would cause me great stress as I do not do well with change, never mind multiples of change, so you are not alone and I can fully appreciate your concern/desire. God knows your heart so pour it out to Him (as in a bucket full of pouring water) as He is our refuge and strength and will be there for you through all your ups and downs. If you need to chat or to be encouraged, prayed for etc., just give me a call - would be my honour. Hugest of hugs to you Julee and if you need a laugh, just think of my stress level around the fact I turn the big 5-0 in January!! Eeeek!! Love you to bits and appreciate your honesty. Wish you were closer so I could come over and give you a big hug in person - Mark will have to do it for me again :)

I think this card is gorgeous. :-)

Hugs to you, Julee. And prayers and strength and all kinds of good thoughts to you! I hope God blesses you in your needs as you go through all these changes. I'm not very good at moving between life's phases, so I won't dole out any advice. Except, I know God watches over us and knows what we need, whatever that may be, and however hard the road. He must know you are a strong one, to handle all that you have.

Cheers and hugs!! ;-)
