Thinking About You

Hey everyone! Happy Thursday!  There's only a few more days until my vacation officially starts!!! I just can't wait to put up a little "gone stamping" sign and head on out into the wild blue yonder.  :-)  I know it's just what I need to re-charge my creative batteries.  I was thinking this morning that my mojo is kind of like my electric toothbrush.  When the batteries are low it still cleans my teeth, but it takes a whole lot longer to get to the little vroom vroom sound that indicates I did a thorough brushing!  LOL  :-)

Anyhow, today's card may have taken me a little longer, but it was the most fun stamping I've had in quite a while.  And it's all about the journey, right???  :)  Some new toys arrived the other day that I wanted to test out, plus I'm head over heels for these dreamy new Waltzingmouse Stamps, so I had to ink a few more of 'em up!

I started by running some cream cardstock through my Cuttlebug with the new Tim Holtz Regal Flourishes Textured Fades.  I was inspired by this week's color combination on SCS  {CC270 Mambo Suede} to use melon mambo and soft suede, so I swirled on some of both of those colors with an Inkssentials blending tool, then distressed the edges with my new Distrezz-It-All.  I watched the video on this machine a few weeks ago, and just HAD to have one.  It's so cool!  Fun distressed edges without all the work!  Love it!

For the stamping, I stamped the frame and sentiment from Fancy Phrases, then cut out with the Fancy Tags Spellbinders die.  Next I stamped the half frame from Very Vintage Labels No. 10, layered on a Soft Suede Labels 10 cut out and added some Zva Creative Sweet Blossoms.  I finished off with a fun little ribbon treatment using some SU! polka dot ribbon and some Beaux Regards ribbon I got on my latest shopping excursion.

What's In It?
Stamps:  Fancy Phrases, Very Vintage Labels No. 10 (Waltzingmouse Stamps)
Paper: Melon Mambo, Soft Suede (SU!), Cream
Ink:  Soft Suede, Melon Mambo (SU!), VersaMark
Accessories:  Tim Holtz Damask Texture Fades (Sizzix), Distrezz-It-All (Zutter), Fancy Tags, Labels 10 Nestabilities (Spellbinders), polka dot ribbon (SU!), striped ribbon (Beaux Regards), Inkssentials Blending Tool (Ranger), Sweet Blossoms (Zva Creative), Stardust Stickles (Ranger), mini-brads
