Blessed Christmas

It's another day of Sneak Previews and the Divas are peeking two new holiday sets, Blessed Christmas and Star of Wonder, over on the Verve Blog today. Check it out for some gorgeous cards and a chance to win.

My card for today uses the Blessed Christmas set and the VSOCT09C sketch from the October Release Week Challenges. I embossed the cross image on pearlized white in detail gold, then colored with Copic Markers. I then trimmed out the cross and layered it on an embossed Labels 4 Nestabilities shape and then matted again with another white Labels 4 shape. I also embossed the little bow in gold, colored with Copics and then trimmed and adhered to the center of the cross. The patterned paper is from the Gingercake collection by Memory Box, and I added a gold edged bow and embossed the sentiment in gold for a little simple elegance.

  1. Oh, this is truly stunning! That red paper and bows make the cross just pop off the page. Love the idea of a cross for Christmas cards--something a little different.
