Tonight's the Night!

Hey everybody! TGIF! Our Anni-VERVE-sary release party is almost here! We'll be kicking off things TONIGHT {Friday, 8/14} over on the Release Party thread in the Verve forum. Everyone's invited - we just have a grand old time chatting, sharing DT projects and posting reveals of the new sets throughout the party. Oh, and we'll be announcing the winners of our Anni-VERVe-sary sketch challenges, Diva Giveaway threads, and Sneak Preview Giveaways. You've still got until 6:00pm ET tonight to enter most of the giveaways, so if you haven't already, what are ya waiting for? :)

Today's sneak peeks are with Delightful & Delicious, a coffee themed set and A Cup Of Life, a tea themed set. I chose to work with Delightful & Delicious because what's not to love about coffee? After all, it's the best part of waking up, right? I made my card for today when I was staying at Laurie's, sipping coffee and shootin' the breeze. Somehow just being there pulled me out of the creative funk I was in and this card just fell together so effortlessly.

I started by cutting and layering shapes cut from the Black & Ivory Fusion collection I keep using. All panels are sponged with a little Tea Dye and Vintage Photo Ranger Distress Ink. For the coffee cup circle, I stamped the Coffee word lightly with Old Paper Ranger Distress Ink for a subtle background, then stamped the steam in Vintage Photo. the coffee mug is stamped in chocolate chip, colored with copics, trimmed out and popped up for some dimension.

Since there were so many panels, I decided to make a 5.25" square card. To add another layer without adding bulk, I decided to use a stamped background to divide my kraft panel, so I stamped the fleur de lis background from Bountiful Backgrounds in Vintage Photo, leaving the bottom third unstamped and sectioned off with a polka dot bow. I added the you're so sweet sentiment in the corner, then glued a thin little scallop border to the bottom and accented with a white gel pen.

Okay, that's it for now. Hope to "see" you tonight at the release party!
