Still the One

Eleven years ago today I married the love of my life. He's my best friend, my soul mate, my Puzzle Quest nemesis and the best thing that's ever happened to me. I still get twitterpated when he walks into the room. :) So in honor of our anniversary, I decided to make today's Our Creative Corner challenge a lovey dovey challenge! You can make either love of a lifetime/anniversary projects or just something for that special someone who makes you go all lovey dovey. And there's a Verve gift certificate up for grabs for those who participate in this week's challenge. So check out all the details over on the OCC. And while you're there, be sure to take a peek at the super cute card this week's phenomenally talented Guest Designer, Jackie Pedro came up with, as well as samples from the Creative Corner Designers.
My card features an adorable image from the Caketopper set by Pink Poison. I saw this image and just knew I had to have it to make a very special anniversary card. And since our wedding colors were navy and silver, that's the color combo I went with for the card. When I look at this card, I can almost picture us dancing to Once Upon a December at the reception. What a magical time. Anyhow, I'm sappy today - I'll try to stick to the card from here on out, though!
I stamped the image on Pearlized White cardstock and then colored with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol. The silver is Brushed Silver from SU! which I embossed with the snow dots Cuttlebug folder. The scallop square and 5.25" square card base are Night of Navy cardstock. The sentiment is from the Verve Feeling Groovy set and I framed it with some Styled Silver Hodgepodge, attached with some silver and navy ribbons. I finished off with a little Stardust Stickles.
Okay, that's all for today. Hubby and I are celebrating with a trip to the movies and then dinner at the Melting Pot for the most fabulous fondue ever! Hope y'all have a fabulously creative weekend!
