Merry Little Treat Bags

Happy Friday! I can't believe it's already the Friday before Christmas! Today I'm showing you a cute little treat bag project. I used some Cosmo Cricket Be Good Paper and the Verve Ornamental Christmas set.

I started by cutting strips of two different designs of Be Good paper to cover the Hershey's Nuggets. I cut a 12" x 3 1/4" strip, then ran a line of sticky strip down one of the 12" edges with the design side up. Next I cut the strip into 1 1/8" sections and since they've all already got sticky strip on, I just had to pull off the covering on the sticky strip, wrap the paper around the nugget and seal. So much faster than adding adhesive to each cover individually! Once my nuggets were all covered, I started on the bag topper.

For this particular bag I used a 4" x 4.5" chocolate chip cardstock piece, folded in half at 2" for the base layer. Next I added the Be Good Paper and finally the stamped panel. This is a 1.5" x 4" strip of Pearlized Cream cardstock. I stamped the pine needles in Always Artichoke and the sentiment in Chocolate Chip ink, then lightly sponged around the edges with Tea Dye Ranger Distress ink. I added a few little piercings using my SU! Mat Pack as a template, then finished off with some Stardust Stickles on the pine needles.

Okay, that's it for today. Hope y'all are staying warm - it's been super cold around here. I'll be back tomorrow with a super special OCC Challenge.

That is such an awesome tip! I know what you mean about having to put adhesive on all the little strips of paper! Your treat bag turned out very cute!

Absolutely GORGEOUS! I'm surprised you didn't try a shaped topper with that fancy schmancy die of yours! LOL! I'm doing little treat bags for the cousins' kids.... I think they will now be little nugget bags! I have some DSP to use up!

This is the greatest nugget gift design I've seen yet! I love the CC dsp and how you simplified the whole process by using matching dsp instead of all that tedious stamping of address labels! Even the way you added the adhesive strip saves so much time and aggravation! I'm slapping my forehead at the way you simplified this whole idea for nuggets! You're a genius! TFS!!
