Holiday Stripes

Today's card uses a simple layout and flat embellishments so it's easy to mail. I started by stamping the pink poinsettia from Poinsettia Christmas in Chocolate Chip Craft ink and embossing with clear embossing powder. I then masked the flower with Eclipse tape and embossed the red flower as well as the Merry and Bright sentiment from Ornamental Christmas. Next I used a waterbrush and Pink Pirouette and Riding Hood Red reinkers to watercolor the flowers, coloring the centers of the flowers with a gold Spica Glitter pen. I used my ticket corner punch for the corners of this panel and a coordinating chocolate chip mat, then very lightly sponged some Ranger Tea Dye Distress Ink around the edges of the panel. For the background I used the Textile Cuttlebug folder and inked the bottom inside plate with Chocolate Chip ink. Next I placed my Kraft cardstock inside the folder and ran it through my CB upside down (the Cuttlebug logo is on the bottom instead of the top). I finished off with some sponging around the edges, a chocolate chip mat and some holiday striped ribbon on a classic cream card base.

Okay, I think I'm mostly done with my Christmas shopping - I just wish I could say that about my Christmas stamping! Seems I always leave that until the last minute! :)
