OCC Saturday

Happy Saturday, everyone! I woke up and got going with the Our Creative Corner challenge this morning. This week they have a sketch challenge with a prize going on, so be sure to check it out!

When I saw the sketch I knew I wanted to pull out my beloved Penny Black Flowers. This one I believe is called Clusters, and is one of my favorite stamps of all time. I stamped it on watercolor paper with Adirondack Pitch Black ink and colored with Copic markers. The next layer is So Saffron which I pierced a border around the edges, stamped the sentiment from Fluttering By and then sponged the edges with So Saffron and then Pumpkin Pie ink. I looped some Pumpkin Pie grosgrain ribbon around this layer and secured with an antique copper brad.

For the next layer I used the Tiled Scallops Backgrounder by Cornish Heritage Farms in Really Rust on the same color cardstock. I then added accents to each scallop with a white gel pen to break up the color a bit. The whole thing is glued to a Pumpkin Pie card base and then finished off with some Stardust Stickles accents on the flowers.
