Happy Wednesday

Hi everyone! How is your week going? Mine's been COLD. We've been having quite the snowstorm here, and I just can't seem to shake the chills. I did manage to shiver my way on up to my studio and make a new card, so snuggle up with something warm and take a gander.

I started by stamping the solid swirly heart from Wild Thing in Soft Sky and then stamping the outlined swirly heart over the top with Purely Pomegranate. Next up I inked up just the Wild and then the thing and stamped them in each corner of the square panel. (I just use cut up post it notes to cover up any areas on my stamp I don't want to have ink, then ink it up on my pad, pull off the post it notes and stamp.) This layer is matted with Purely Pomegranate, Soft Sky and Basic Black. I then stamped the You Make My Heart Sing portion of the sentiment directly onto some Soft Sky Prints paper and tied a knotted bow of black May Arts ribbon around it. The two corner accents are just a cut up word window punch that I wrote xoxo on and added a few dots around the edges with a black pen. The XO paper is from a paper pack by My Mind's Eye and I finished off with a few rhinestone stickers.

I don't usually share a lot of my personal feelings here on the blog, because I'm a pretty private person. But I've been feeling disappointed in my cards lately and I'm sure you've noticed my regular posting has been somewhat lacking. To be honest with y'all - I'm exhausted. I stay up way too late, get up way too early and push myself every minute of every day, and it's starting to catch up with me creatively. The past few weeks it's really felt like I've been fumbling around at my craft desk, going through the motions. I hope y'all won't give up on me - I'm sure I'll find my mojo lying around here again soon. Until then, just know that I treasure your comments and reading them is the bright spot of each and every day.

Well, peeps, I'm going to to go try and stay warm. Blankets, hot tea and fuzzy socks are my treat of choice today. Be sure to check back tomorrow as I have something special planned here and on the Verve Blog.

awwwww, Julee, so sorry to hear how you've been feeling lately. Take some time and just see it through, don't force the issue. And most importantly, get your body the necessary sleep it needs. That alone will help you feel 100 times better. I'll be thinking of you.

Hi Julee. Well, I don't know how all of you bloggers do it. To make sure you have something to post daily, have time to get it photographed and posted and to come up with something witty. Add the stress of owning a business in this economic climate and I can see why you are exhausted. Take care of yourself, you don't want to make yourself ill. We will keep checking back with you.

Julee, Julee, Julee, your cards have been wonderful, I don't know what you are talking about. Isn't it funny how when we think our cards are lacking someone else thinks they are the greatest thing since PB & J? You hang in there honey, you'll get over your slump (although, I think you were never in a slump cause I have liked ALL of your cards). :)

By the way, this card ROCKS!! :)

This one sure has mojo to me ... love it. Remember to take care of yourself first or nothing else will ultimately matter.

I didn't know your mojo was missing. But I know how you feel!
But there's no way any of your cards are lacking when you're using such awesome stamps! You know we all love you and wouldn't mind if you took a little break from it all. Take care Julee!

Sorry to hear you are not feeling well Julee. As for your mojo, I don't think it ever left! Take care of yourself, remember, that is what is most important! *STAMPIN HUGS* Alex

Hi Julee,
I agree with all the other commentors. Didn't know your mojo was missing, but if you feel it is missing then it is! Take a break. People who love your work will come back, even when you don't post for a while. Sometimes you have to do this to recharge your batteries. Otherwise, you are going to make yourself ill, both mentally and physically. Blogging is hard work. Owning a stamp company is hard work. Make it a priority to have fun in what you are doing. If you are not having fun, then you have to rethink and re-prioritize. Hey, and it's winter! Lots of us get the blahs this time of the year! Stay warm!

I'm not seeing any missing mojo here, girl. Maybe you're just expecting too much of yourself. Take a break. Get some rest. It'll all work out. Hugs.

Thanks for sharing Julee. I am fairly new to your blog but I haven't noticed any of your "mojo" missing. I am also fairly new at cardmaking but I love what you do. In every card you have made so far I see something I really like and need to incorporate into one of my cards. Take it easy and relax. We will be here when your mojo is back :)

Julee, I haven't noticed your mojo gone missing, but I can sympathize. Your mojo is only as good as YOU are! Get some sleep, take a break, do something "just for fun", eat healthy, and everything will fall into place.

And for goodness sake, post some more of your private stuff, so we all know you are human! *grin*

Julee, I love all of your stuff and in fact, you are the first stop on my list. I just recently ordered the "Launch Pack" and am having a ball with the images. They are awesome. I am excited to see what you are cooking up for next month. All of your work is fun and fresh so keep it up! Hugs, Heather J.

Oh Julee, I'm sorry you're feeling in a bit of a funk. Being overly tired can definitely do that to you! I still love ALL of your creations, and will never give up on your blog - when I sit down to check in on people, it's always one of the first I click! Now get some rest, I'm sure it will help you tremendously!

Awww, you need a vacation, some "me time" & heck, that's OK - do do it...pick one thing that you can live without for a month & back off of it & I'm sure you'll come back totally refreshed.

Like I said before, you need a SPA DAY!!! ;)
You really need to get some rest, just shut the door and hide out for a while. Give yourself a vacation. At least from the pressure of creating for your blog. We love ya and will be here when you return!

Julee you have our permission to take a break! It's o.k. Your fans will always be here. Get some rest!

Sorry to hear that you are feeling down, I know what you mean though. Try to take some time for yourself to relax and get your mojo back. We won't be mad if you have to take a few days off from inspiring us. My thoughts are with you!!

Your work with low mojo is still better than my full mojo going. Hang in there, girly! Maybe it's just the winter blahs.....

Oh Julee, I am sorry to hear you're feeling like you've lost your mojo temporarily but I think your cards are super, recent posts included! Lack of sleep can really affect your mood so I hope you're able to catch up with some nice naps soon! We appreciate all you do and you must certainly be really busy with your blog and your new business - -I can't imagine--but please take care of yourself!

Julee,it's called midwinter funk and we can all understand that one
and have felt your pressures ourselves. Don't be so hard on yourself and allow yourself some down time just for you. Let it go
for as long as you need to. We will all be here to welcome back the new and rejuvenated Julee. Take care of business Julee, and that means YOU! Hugs, Norma

We have all been there, but your card are still beautiful, don't be so hard on yourself. Trust me it's the cold and lack of sunlight. Our bodies want to hibernate for the winter LOL. Once the cold is gone and the sun starts shining, you will feel better and be more creative.

Gorgeous card, Julee! If only you could see what everyone else sees! I don't think I've ever seen you make a bad card. As for the lack of sleep, I completely understand. When you don't get much sleep, nothing you do feels "good". Try and relax. . .work will ALWAYS be there! :) BIG HUGS!

You're lacking mojo? Who knew? Well, you just take some R&R time and don't worry about entertaining us. We are your peeps. We're not going anywhere.

Missy...your cards are NEVER lacking! You are one of my biggest inspirations and I will stick around as long as you have this blog! Now go get yourself some rest and schedule for yourself some "me" time every day.

Your card is beautiful BTW!

julee, I can relate. I keep wondering if I am all crafted out...I feel like I keep running in circles doing everything else and my crafting (and my crafting friendships) are suffering because of it.

But don't fret. We understand and we are here for you. Whether you post everyday or only once a week.

And you STILL can create circles around most of us!!!
