Rockstar Sketch

In all the excitement of the new Verve releases I totally forgot to mention that I am the sketch artist for this week's Saturday sketch at Sisterhood of Scrap. This is the card I cooked up for my funky sketch, which I thought could be used for a card or a smaller scrapbook layout. If you want to play along, check the sketch out here.

I started by stamping Rockabella and coloring her in with Prismacolor penicls and gamsol. I then added a dotted border around the panel with a black glaze pen and set aside. The skewed panel is just a 1/4" Night of Navy mat for the image panel skewed behind the image. It's stamped randomly with some of the star images from Starlight Starbright. The DP is from American Crafts and I added a little piercing along one panel and some Stardust Stickles on the dotted paper. The background Real Red layer is randomly stamped with more stars from Starlight Starbright. I used the You're a Rockstar sentiment, which perfectly fits inside the smaller SU oval punch and matted with the larger SU oval punch. The star on the corner, is just the larger star stamped on Real Red cardstock and punched out with the SU star punch. To finish off, I added more glitz with Stardust Stickles on all the stars. Hope you like it. If you have a chance to play link your cards to the Sisterhood of Scrap post, so I can see them!

Have a happy day, peeps!
