Hello Pumpkin

The other day I was out and about and just happened to see this A Muse Hello Pumpkin sentiment I've been trying to find for a while now. I knew it would go perfectly with all the cool pumpkin $1 stamps I got at Michael's a few weeks ago.

I started out with Jen del Muro's sketch that she did for Sisterhood of Scrap the weekend before last. The dp is from the Making Memories Halloween Embellishment Paper Pad. I stamped the Pumpkins $1 stamp on heavy cardstock and colored in with Twinkling H2O's and and aquapainter. Next I drew in some shadows with a light grey tombow marker and colored the stems with Always Artichoke. I sketched a little frame around the pane and accented the pumpkins with Orange Peel Stickles. Next it was just a matter of layering DP with thin black mats. I used a corner rounder without the guides for a scallop border across the longest panel, but it's covered up, so you can only see the two edges.

Next I stamped Hello Pumpkin from A Muse and punched out with an Extra Jumbo scallop oval punch. I sponged this with Only Orange ink and added a little sketched frame on the scallops. Then I just offset two black punches of the same size of scallop oval and layered them behind the sentiment. The background is embossed with the D'Vine Swirls cuttlebug folder. Not sure where the ribbon came from, but it was a scrap in my drawer. Wish I had more of it, because it's really yummy.

Don't miss today's double dose of sneak peeks on the Verve Visual blog. Laurie and Kim have created some fabulous projects to share with you! And be sure to check back tomorrow for the big unveiling of the two new Verve Visual sets!

  2. Love it! When you use a dark card base, what do you use on the inside to write or stamp?
