Getting Dirty with CPS

Guess what? Yesterday I was Kraftin' Kimmie's August Kool Krafter! Check out this post to read more about li'l ole me and see the projects I picked as some of my favorites for her to feature.
Today's card is one I made specifically for Kimmie's feature. I used this week's CPS sketch #26 and the Crate Paper Cowgirl line. I am so into fall colors right now - I think I skipped right over summer. The flower images is one of my 70% off Penny Black steals called Clusters. I stamped it in Timber Brown StaZon on Pearlized Cream paper and then colored with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol. Next I stamped the Thinking of You sentiment from Fancy Florals in Ruby Red and then I used the Vintage Values technique to sponge varying depths of Creamy Caramel, Close to Cocoa and Chocolate Chip ink around the edges to get it good and "dirty". I used my Tonic paper distresser to roughen up the edges and then used my Mat Pack to pierce holes down the strip for brads. The brads are from American Crafts Elements. I added the prima flower and sponged the edges with Chocolate Chip ink to mute the brightness of the pima. Finally I took my paper piercer and mat pack and punched holes all around all the panels. The card measures 5.25" square and is on a Chocolate Chip base.

Stamps: Fancy Florals (Verve Visual), Clusters (Penny Black)
Paper:
Pearlized Cream (Paper Accents), Cowgirl (Crate Paper), Chocolate Chip (SU!)
Ink: Ruby Red, Creamy Caramel, Close to Cocoa, Chocolate Chip (SU!), Timber Brown (StaZon)
Accessories: Prima flower, Brads (American Crafts), Paper piercer, Mat Pack (SU!), Pop Dots

GORGEOUS card! LOVE those brads!

I'm starting to shift to Fall colors too... I think it's wishful thinking that the kids will be back in school sooner if I do! LOL! That and I've started Christmas stuff, so I have to get some fall in there first!
