Operation Organize Chaos Update

Oh my! What an exhausting weekend it's been so far. Operation Organize Chaos is coming along, but still not complete. Our new dining room table was delivered today, so I got pulled away from my studio to rearrange furniture in a few different rooms to accommodate the new table and prepare for the delivery of our new entertainment center. I did, however talk Mark into helping me swap the bookcases in my studio for the dresser that was in the spare bedroom. Now I have a ton more storage, and a new home for my Cuttlebug, Xyron and paper trimmer. Asta la vista card table! And best of all my reading chair that had been displaced to the hallway has found its way back into my studio! Yay!

I decided to move the dresser holding my ink caddy out to retrieve the bottle of Undu that jumped ship earlier this week, and when I was moving it back, the entire lid came off the dresser!!! Eeek! I mean, I knew it was cheap, and we've had it for years and years, but I wasn't planning on it coming apart in my hands! Oh well, just gives me an excuse to buy that lateral filing cabinet I've been eyeing to put my cardstock and paper in. Then my paper won't have to stay in the plastic container under my table.

I promise I'll show pics when I'm done. The in-laws are coming over for dinner tonight, so I won't have time to complete the room tonight. Tomorrow I'm supposed to get together with Lila & Kim for a stamp date, so I'm looking forward to spending some time stamping instead of cleaning.

I had planned to show you the three AMAZING packages I received this weekend, but just realized the camera batteries are dead, so that will have to wait for the next post. It's been so nice to hear that not all of you are little Martha Stewart neat freak clones and struggle with organization in your studios too! Your comments have made me laugh out loud several times. Thanks for the encouragement.

wow, sounds like a large undertaking, but it will be totally worth it in the end! I'm sure your organized space will be envied by many who haven't managed their chaos yet (like me!)! Keep it up!

Can't wait to see photos! I exchanged shelves for a pair of dressers a couple years ago.... WHAT a difference! That's where my xyron lives too.... and all my photos.

Boy, you're going to feel like you are living in a whole new house!

I just did some major stamp storage moving, from a folding table to a nice big buffet with doors and all :) Can't wait to see your pics.
