Take Some Time

Here's a fun little card I made recently for someone special. Don't you just love how happy this little bunny looks? He's an old favorite - I've probably had him 6 or 7 years. He was actually in the sell pile because he needs lots of coloring, but then I learned to prismacolor and old favorites became new favorites again! Yay!

I started this card by stamping Bunny in Flowers (PSX) on Pearlized White Paper Accents card stock and coloring in with prismacolors and mineral spirits. Next I trimmed the image and doodled a frame. I matted on Basic Black and layered with pop dots onto Basic Grey Gypsy paper, with another mat of Basic Black.

Next I secured some ribbon around a 5.25"x 4" a different designer paper from the Basic Grey Gypsy line and secured with Terrifically Tacky Tape. I then glued the image panel down at an angle and added a Prima with a Making Memories rhinestone brad. Then I adhered to a Basic Black card base and used two EK Success Photo Corner punches in diagonal corners. I added a few doodles with my Sakura Clear Stardust pen around the photo corners and added a touch of Stickles to the flowers and butterflies on the main image.

For the final touch, I used my my Karen Foster Snap Stamps to stamp "Take some time" on the front (I drew in the ellipsis with a black pen). On the inside I stamped "to stamp some flowers" and included a Rhonna Farrer clear flower stamp. Aren't I clever? LOL!

I love the use of detail on your cards. I'm attracted to glitter and you use it well. Just the right use of jiggly lines, and the layout is always interesting. I learn something from you with every card!

I can see what this would be a favorite. I have some of those oldies that I get out once in awhile and with all the new ways to color, it is even more fun. Just a sweet card. I do love the happy bunny.
