So Happy

What a great weekend! I was able to get a lot of projects crossed off my list and I'm feeling a bit more like my old self. YAY! The tooth pain has eased up somewhat, so that's helping too. I told y'all I'd be posting a creation with the blog candy stamp I received from Cindy and here it is. It's the Faith Hope Love stamp by Stampendous. I also used my brand-spanking new Green Grass stamps, which I LOVE!

This card was inspired by Jan's suggestion that she would like to see some non-feminine wedding cards for her son's upcoming wedding. Well, I couldn't resist the beaded hatpin, which kind of feminizes it a little, but it just looked so perfect on the card! LOL! This card could also be used for an anniversary or a valentine.

I started by stamping the Faith Hope Love stamp (Stampendous) on shimmer white paper in Black Stazon. I then outlined the characters with crystal Effects and matted on Basic Black cardstock. Next I used my Real Red Stampin Write marker to randomly stamp just the love character (not the word) from the Kanji (Stampin Up) set on patterned paper from a Provo Craft Paper Slab.

Next I stamped So Happy in Love (from the Card Greetings set by Green Grass Stamps) in Black Stazon on Shimmer White and outlined the Love with Crystal Effects. I then matted offset on Basic Black and punched a 1/16" circle in diagonal ends of the piece to slide the beaded hatpin (Creating Keepsakes at JoAnn's) through. Next I adhered the piece to the card base with black mini brads in diagonal corners.

You have such a flair with Oriental stamps! I can't seem to make Kanji work for me. I've had it for a while and never use it! :) I should take tips from you! Great card!
